No one else in my life says, Sandy Averill!!! when they greet me, only Diane. When I get to heaven one day, I have a feeling that it will be Diane who announces me into the Kingdom as only she can. I have so many joyful memories of being in Bible study with Diane, getting "love you" texts and emails, and conversations that somehow always quickly became about me, even when I was asking about her. But I also have a gift that reminds of Diane whenever I see it: a covered pie plate in the shape of a pumpkin. Many years ago (I don't even remember when) it appeared on my doorstep with a birthday card. How Diane found out where I lived, I have no idea to this day. That pie plate makes me smile every time I see it; it was a random, thoughtful, funny gift from a great lover of Jesus, Diane Teel.
